Taj South

Sunday's ride. Smaller group. Great snow again.
New play areas.

Hot lunch day

View to the sunny south

Leaving on a jet plane

There was a Cub Road too but no bears yet

Still more rides to come.

Weekend Rides

When you haven't been out riding in 2 weeks due to the polar vortex, you have to go for it when the weather lets up.
2 days in a row of riding for those who had capable bodies :)  (Not the blog editor)
Saturday - the Taj loop.  Did the loop in reverse from the previous ride.

Some challenges as a result of the reverse order but nothing the Club couldn't overcome. Made it in - the proof is in the pudding - or the picture above.

Low visibility but still good to get out after 2 weeks of cabin fever

Thuya Lake on the way back to the parking lot
Sunday's ride was out to Big Tim.

Swamp riding - this is where the Doo bucked off the rider. A little disabled but still smiling and ready for more riding.

Awesome view

The recovery team coming back. Isn't this a fantastic photo!

Snow covered trees - so beautiful

End of the day - playing in the logging slash
Our area has been discovered. Should never have blogged about it - haha. Tracked out and wind blown up top.

Tortoise, Thuya, Taj Ride

The 3 T's ride, first stop Tortoise Lake, then past Thuya Lakes and on to the Taj Mahal. 11 riders with the president from the Kamloops Club joining our group and a couple more new club members.
First time into the Taj this season. Snow conditions were pretty good.

Compared to town, it's a winter wonderland

This is it - the Taj Mahal
A little rest stop after roaring around in a slash

Lunch in the sun again - starting to become a habit

A much warmer day than last year when we rode into the Taj Mahal and almost froze our eyeballs off. But also not as much snow to play in.  Maybe February will bring us more.

Weekend Ride to the "Taj"

A chilly start but can't complain when it's a bluebird day.
Hadn't been to the "Taj Mahal" in years due to logging activity so we were overdue. Hoping we could still find our way in.

Most snow in years

Like water skiing, difficult to stay dry

Doo-lightful snow

Crushing snowflakes

Grasshopper, is that you in the snow swirl?

Looks like the trail in...

"THIS is the Taj Mahal" - not exactly up to expectations!!!

Saving gas - oh, not necessary, it's an e-tec

Waiting for the "trail boss"

Minor delay on the hill
Now that the trail is set, we're hoping to get back in there again this season ....if logging roads aren't plowed. Seized the opportunity. Long day but the trail boss was happy :)
